PC sleeps/hibernates with both set to "never"
I have Window7 64 bit, an MSI P55-GD65 motherboard, and an Intel X25-M 2.5" 160GB SATA SSD I've set the power settings for the SSD to "never" for both sleep and hibernate but the system seems to go to sleep (unresponsive) after it's been sitting unused for a period of time - the longer the sitting time, the longer it takes to respond, if at all. I use sleep mode for the monitor and it wakes up quickly (normally) all the time - the desktop shows up and the mouse curser moves fine. However, clicking on the icons produces slow, very slow, or not at all "wakeup" depending on how long the system's been sitting. I've never waited more than 5 minutes for it to "wake" up before I push the reset button on the PC. Help!!

There are a number of things that could cause your problem. BIOS settings? Latest BIOS? SSD firmware? Updated? I would highly recommend going to the Intel Support Forum for your SSD. That's what I did when I started using SSDs and that's where I found all the answers I needed. The group discussions are almost strictly related to the SSD and it's peculiarities. In some cases you may need to edit the registry to change some settings that are specific to the SSD.

Hi wlfwlf, Update the BIOS to the latest version and set sleep settings in BIOS to see if the issue can be resolved. If the issue persists, it is recommended contacting Intel to update the SSD firmware and confirm if there is any known issues regarding sleep.
